Cheap Lawn Sweeper

Excellent, turned doing the leaves from being a chore to being fun!!! All the neighbors are using it and love it also. More then enough power I have 3/4 of a acre surounded by trees on 3 sides and can do the whole yard in about 45 minutes!!!! Uses very little gas and easy to handle.

Can't rate the sweeper by itself. When the unit was shipped, the box was destroyed and had to return it. Never replaced it. Please don't use this review as an indication of the unit itself.

after been using Polaris for 25 years and when it stop working any more i have spent a lot time to research which one to get at a good price, after all research time this Polaris 380 is the best buy option for me and i decided to buy from Amazon.com directly with free delivery and no tax....everything arrive right on time!! I also would like to share 1 most important issue and that is the size of the pool wall connector hole is much smaller than the NEW POLARIS connector...so some pool cleaners/suppliers suggested that they could come in and making the pool connecter hole size bigger to fit the new polaris that alone cost $700 of labor.....so what i did was to go to a plumbing supply store and bought 2 converter connecters to fit the old pool wall and fit the new polaris connecter and the total cost is $13!!!!and after all it works well with the new Polaris 380!!...so the bottom line is just don't always listen to the pool guys too much..but use your own judment and save a lot cash....

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)This is a wonderful machine! Assembly took less than 5 minutes from the box. It took only 2 bolts and 4 nuts to completely assemble. The mower is lightweight and rolls easily. You can easily adjust the cutting height with one lever instead of having to adjust each wheel one at a time. You only need to push a button and pull back the lever to start this mower.I also like the fact that while cutting it releases zero emissions and runs quietly. It is also easy to re-charge the mower when finished. Another plus is the fact that I no longer need to transport gasoline inside vehicle. My car doesn't have a trunk so I always had to put the gas can in the back seat floorboard, and smell gas in the car for the next few days. I think this is a great machine for a single mom or woman who isn't good with machines--look, I'm a woman so I can say this! It also has a safety key so your kids can't just go and start it up. It's also green, so anyone who wants something super easy will like this. This is good for a small yard, or you will need to recharge. It is not self-propelled, but like I said before, it is easy to roll so unless you have a lot of hills, that should not be a problem.

You may want to consider purchasing the LCC220 Trimmer/Sweeper combo with 2 batteries, and buying the trimmer separately if needed. It will cost the same or less, and you will have three batteries. You can then also choose to buy the pole trimmer (LPHT120) &/or pole saw (LPP120) which I find to be more useful tools. Plus right now Amazon is offering a $10 promo for each purchase of a B&D product over $50. Buy separately, save more, choose the tools you want/need.

The directions were a bit confusing. Put the frame in upside down at first. Watch out! The plugs that hold the frame pieces together don't come out easy. The hitch on our lawn mower is quite a bit lower than this allows, so we attached it by hooking it through a bungie cord on the lawn mower. Works for now, but tends to balk on bumps. We'll try to make a more stable hitch higher up for it. Picks up grass well. We don't have many leaves or sticks, so I can't say much about that. We have a 2 acre open area that I use this on to collect the grass for weed control in my garden. I have to stop every so often to shift the grass to the back of the bag because it tends to bunch up near the front. So, when it's nearly full I run the mower faster. That seems to help throw the grass to the back. All in all, I like it. I'm glad I bought it.

While others have complained that the plastic chute to cart connection point is a problem, in the five years that I have owned this product I have not had any problems with this happening.On a 1 to 5 I rated this product a five. It changed my world so significantly that if this one were to "die" I would buy another one the next day. I have a large property that I use a combination of equipment to maintain; tractor and 6' grooming deck, lawn tractor with Mow-n-Vac, hand mower, etc. I use the Mow-n-Vac. I am no stranger to maintaining equipment and this product has required some replacement parts which were easily found on the web and ordered. I accidentally sucked up a rock about the size of a canelop which broke an ear off the impeller which I replaced, and I have replaced the cuff connection at the cart to chute which was indeed riveted, did require me to drill out the rivets which is no big deal and took less time to drill out than the same number of bolts would have required to remove - so that is not an issue as far as I am concerned. That cuff, like the impeller and hose is a consumable part that I think has an appropriate lifespan and given the fact that I use this cart vac every time I mow, it has performed exceedingly well.I did not use the "universal" boot that came with it for the mower deck connection. I had a bagger on my 42" Sears lawn tractor and I simply used the factory boot that is custom moulded to fit that deck and connected the hose…

Engine would not run properly. I had to call an X-Tanaka shop and he suggested taking the filter from the tank and cleaning. Could not return because I had added fuel to the engine. It's working now but very disappointing.

Quick and easy to use. Does a great job. Beats bagging with chutes getting blocked up with damp grass. I can do my whole yard without having to stop once to empty. In the end I can either dump it out to pick up or just scope it out of the catcher. The only negative if any that I have is that the material the catch hopper is made out of may be too light for long wear but time will tell. Cleans up all the grass and what ever in very little time. Dumps with little to no effort. Wish I bought one long ago.

As an aside, this the third Palaris I have purchased over the years.

If you are a woman who has to take care of her own lawn duties, this set is great. It's relatively light weight (everything is relative after carrying it for an hour.) It's light duty, but it gets the job done. I live in a wooded area with weeds rather than grass and I can trim about 1/4 acre of tough stuff with one charge. When my battery is dead, so am I! The hedge trimmer works so much better than I thought it would, but the blower works a little worse than I expected.The set is lightweight, and it works. You don't have to smell any gasoline or worry about projectiles flying at you because it's not as powerful as gas machines (I think that's a good thing!) You might need to have someone come in and tidy up in the beginning of spring and the end of fall, but this set lets you take care of the in between time.

Sweeper was easy to assemble, frame seemed a little flimsy. Once assembled, I took it outside for about a 100 ft to see if there were any problems with it and stuck in the garage. The next day I decided to take it out first its first real test - to swept up grass clippings. Made about 3 passes or about 300 feet and the one of the small wheels on the back fell off. Since the wheel is cast into the flimsy tube frame it can't be fixed, so I will have to go out and find new wheels for the back and do it right. Other than this problem the sweeper worked fine on grass and leaves and overall happy with its performance, just wish it had a better frame.

I have a model 50SWP26 sweeper. It lasted about six months before one of the wheels, which drive the brush via internal gears, failed. The fit was so sloppy that the plastic gear inside the wheel stripped against the metal gear on the rod that drives the brush. Now, I can't find parts anywhere but the manufacturer, and they aren't returning my calls. This sweeper is total junk.

I reviewed many spreaders and found many, if not most, had plastic gears, and thus, dented or warped with use. I found this advertised to having metal gears. It was a cinch to assemble, as most was already done. Very sturdy, smooth operation. Great product.

We purchased this cordless electric lawnmower in April of this year. We have been using it for four months now. Overall it is a good lawnmower and easy to use. We would buy it again.Some good things about it are, 1. It can truly cut at a 4 inch height, (which is why we decided to buy it instead of the Black & Decker model). This is especially helpful if one is planning to switch to organic lawncare.; 2. The 36 volt battery has plenty of power; 3. At 72lbs. it is fairly light for an electric mower; 4. The mulching blades truly mulch; 5. We have a 2/3's acre yard. The lawnmower can cut about 1/2 acre on a full charge. This is okay with us, because we just spread out the work a little bit. Maybe cut the sidewalk perimeter and one side on one night and the rest on another. Also please remember, this is a nickle cadmium battery. Make sure it is fully charged and then fully discharged the first time you use it.Some negatives are: 1. The operator has to hold the power engaging lever on all the time. This is normal of all lawnmowers, accept this lawnmower only has a small handle on the right hand side and you cannot use your left hand to hold the power lever. This is especially annoying in tight areas around trees, etc.; 2. The tread on the wheels are made of either really cheap rubber or a better grade of plastic, I am not sure. Either way they were really slippery when we first received the lawnmower, but their grip has improved some with wear. A $400 lawnmower should have better…
